Perfectly cooked, juicy chicken breasts using the sous vide method for flavor and tenderness.

Ingredients

  • 4 Boneless chicken breasts
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • Juice from 1 Lemon (optional)
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced (optional)
  • Fresh herbs (like thyme or rosemary, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Sous Vide: Set your sous vide water bath to the desired temperature between 140°F (medium-rare) and 160°F (medium).
  2. Season the Chicken: Generously season both sides of the boneless chicken breasts with salt, pepper, olive oil, and any additional flavorings.
  3. Seal the Chicken: Place the seasoned chicken breasts into a vacuum-sealable bag, remove air, and seal.
  4. Cook in Sous Vide: Submerge the sealed bag in the preheated water bath for 1 to 2 hours.
  5. Finish with a Sear: Pat the chicken dry, heat a skillet, add oil, and sear for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Slice and serve immediately, or let it rest briefly before slicing.

Notes

Don’t rush the sear for better flavor and texture. Use quality bags and avoid overcrowding the cooking area.
