Homemade Fresh From Scratch Egg Noodles are a delightful addition to any meal, enhancing the flavors of your dishes with their comforting texture.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Water (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Combine dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt until well combined.
  2. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and crack the eggs into the well.
  3. Mix the dough: Use a fork to slowly mix the eggs into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Knead the dough: Turn out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Roll out the dough: Use a rolling pin to roll to your desired thickness, about 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick.
  6. Cut the noodles: Using a sharp knife or pasta cutter, cut the rolled dough into strips.
  7. Dry the noodles: Let them sit for a few minutes at room temperature before cooking.
  8. Cook the noodles: Bring salted water to a boil, add noodles, and cook until they float, about 2-3 minutes. Drain and serve.

Notes

For best results, measure flour properly and avoid over-kneading.
